How to Reduce Film Waste with a Premade Pouch Packaging Machine?

Premade Pouch Machines: Reduce Film Waste, Cut TCO & Achieve Faster ROI
2025/12/18
For Wenzhou ECHO Intelligent Packaging Technology Co., Ltd. (ECHO Machinery), 2025 was not a year measured in brochures printed or business cards collected. It was measured in kilometres flown, machines shipped to show floors, and the number of production managers who walked away from our booth with a packaging problem finally solved.
Across the year, our teams exhibited at twelve trade shows spanning Asia, Europe, the Middle East, and the wider global food and packaging community. Each one taught us something about how the market is changing — and each one reinforced why we keep sending real machines, not just posters, to the show floor.

ECHO Machinery welcomes long-term partners at RosUpack 2025, Moscow
The 2025 exhibition calendar opened on 4–6 March at Sino-Pack / China International Packaging Industry Exhibition in Guangzhou's Canton Fair Complex, Area B. This was our largest domestic showing of the first quarter and a useful barometer: even at a China-based show, more than half of the serious enquiries came from overseas buyers sourcing rotary premade-pouch equipment for snack, nut, and frozen-food lines.
Six weeks later, from 15 to 19 April, part of the team was at the Canton Fair in Guangzhou, while a separate team was already in Poland. Warsaw Pack, held 8–10 April in Warsaw, gave us our first European touchpoint of the year. Central and Eastern European food processors arrived with a very specific brief: smaller batch sizes, more SKUs, faster changeover. That message would repeat itself at every European show we attended in 2025.

May was the heaviest month of the year. From 3 to 8 May we exhibited at IFFA in Frankfurt, Germany — the world's leading trade fair for meat and protein processing. IFFA is a demanding audience. Visitors here do not ask whether a machine runs; they ask about seal integrity on high-fat products, washdown ratings, and how quickly a gripper set can be swapped between bag formats. Our vacuum and rotary pouch systems were built for exactly those questions.
Barely three weeks later, from 27 to 30 May, we exhibited at the Milan International Exhibition Centre in Italy for the international packaging, packaging materials, and food processing exhibition. Italy remains one of the most design-conscious packaging markets in the world, and the interest there centred on quad-seal and flat-bottom pouch formats — premium shelf presence with automated throughput behind it.

June took the company to three continents in four weeks. PPP EXPO Indonesia 2025 ran 4–7 June at the Jakarta International Expo Centre, drawing a steady stream of local co-packers and instant-food manufacturers. The Indonesian market is scaling quickly, and the questions were refreshingly practical: what is the delivery time, what spare parts come in the box, and who answers the phone at 11 p.m. when a line stops.
From 11 to 14 June we exhibited at ProPak Asia at the BITEC exhibition centre in Bangkok, Thailand. ProPak Asia is arguably the most important packaging event in Southeast Asia, and it delivered: buyers from Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Australia all visited us within the same four days.
Simultaneously, from 17 to 20 June, a second team was in Russia for RosUpack 2025 at the Crocus Expo Centre in Moscow. Russia has been one of ECHO's most consistent markets, and several of the visitors were customers we first met years ago — now returning to expand a line rather than build a first one.

Back in China, ProPak China 2025 ran 24–26 June at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai — our largest presence of the year. A ten-person team ran continuous demonstrations across multiple machine types, from rotary premade-pouch systems to vertical form-fill-seal and case-packing equipment.
The autumn brought the China Fisheries and Seafood Expo (29–31 October), followed by Gulfood Manufacturing at the Dubai World Trade Centre in the UAE, from 4 to 6 November, which served as the hub for our Middle East and North Africa business. Dubai continues to function as the region's sourcing crossroads: buyers from Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, and East Africa all evaluate suppliers in the same hall.
The year closed at swop Shanghai, 25–27 November, at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre.

Technical consultation with a client's actual product samples
Three themes emerged consistently across all twelve events.
First, buyers want to see the machine run with their own product. Renderings and specification sheets no longer close deals. At nearly every show, the most productive conversations began when a visitor pulled a sample pouch or a bag of their own product out of a shoulder bag and asked whether our machine could handle it.
Second, flexibility now outranks raw speed. Five years ago the first question was bags per minute. In 2025 the first question was how many bag formats one machine can run and how long a changeover takes. Product portfolios are fragmenting, and equipment has to keep up.
Third, after-sales support is the deciding factor. Buyers in Jakarta, Moscow, and Dubai asked the same question in different accents: what happens after installation? Our answer is unchanged — dedicated after-sales engineers, remote diagnostics, spare parts dispatched within 48 hours, and a two-year warranty.
Twelve shows, five continents, dozens of production lines now running in customer factories. We ended 2025 the way we started it — with machines on the floor and engineers standing beside them.
To every customer, partner, and agent who visited us in 2025: thank you. We will see you again in 2026.
